When my daughter Grace was born, it was a whirlwind of events involving induced labor and eventually an emergency c-section. After 30+ hours of no sleep or food, 6 failed epidurals, and a LOT of pushing, I was in a fog of complete exhaustion. Regardless of the circumstances, I had every intention of breastfeeding my child immediately following her delivery. But somehow the nurses got their wires crossed and they ended up giving my daughter bottled formula as her first meal. To say I was upset is a gross understatement.
Feeding from a bottle is much easier for a baby than the work of breastfeeding, so getting Grace to latch and breastfeed after that first bottle was a battle that I fought and lost every day for 3 solid months during my maternity leave. I chose to pump anyway, and give her whatever breast milk I could, for as long as I could. But without her latching and feeding from the breast, I never had a significant supply of breast milk. So of course, I ended up having to supplement with formula.
It took many tries to find the right formula for her. Nothing that the hospital or mainstream media advised was the right solution for my daughter. She would cry and cry because those options hurt her tummy — even with added probiotic drops.
I recently stumbled across this all-natural baby formula recipe that certainly wish I had known about before my daughter was born. I hope this info will help other mothers who struggle to produce enough breast milk for their babies, or are unable to breastfeed for any reason. The owners of the site below have done a lot of work and research on baby formulas, first and foremost to find a solution for their own daughter. But now, this info is helping SO many others, and is a much better, healthier option than the synthetic baby formulas that are currently in short supply. I pray this information blesses someone today!
Please share and spread the word so all of the parents needing help will find this info!
Blessings,
Emily
